Lefka apartments

We spent a wonderful week at Lefka. We were 4 adults and 3 children. Never in our life have we experienced such hospitality, not only from Evita and Andreas but from all of the staff. They continuously did there best to make everyone feel at home. Always smiling and friendly. Evita and Andreas have a wonderful way of making everyone feel important and did their utmost best to make our holiday a memorable and very relaxing experience.

The kids had an excellent time and even had their own account at the bar where they drank enormous amounts of milkshakes. The swimming pool was an all day and evening attraction where the kids spent 90% of their time.

Don't forget to try the good food which was an all favorite of ours. Ask for Evita's pasta and Andreas's grilled meat. We can highly recommend the food.

Thank you for a wonderful holiday. We felt quite at home in our spacious pretty apartment and will definitely return to Lefka.

What can we say about Lefka, Andreas and Evita? Maybe the easiest way to demonstrate their hospitality and great accommodation (and let's not even mention the pasticcio and souvlaki :->) is to give an example.

We discovered Andreas and Evita by chance in 2003 when we were staying on the island for 6 weeks working. We stayed at Lefka the entire time and probably saw less of Crete than we should have because we enjoyed ourselves so much by the pool and in their company! When we got married in summer 2004, the choice of destination was obvious and we came back en mass with all our family from both sides and had the perfect wedding.

I find it impossible to thank them enough, not only for the hospitality they afforded us, or the accommodation, or the food (or raki!), but also for the enormous amount of help they gave us with the wedding and the effort they put in which was well beyond anything that could be expected of them.

These guys and this place are simply awesome and when staying in Crete there is only one place to stay.

I had the pleasure of spending my spring break with Andreas and Evita while pursuing my TEFL Certification with Via Lingua. Although I did not stay at their hotel I wish I had! Their rooms were clean, air-conditioned and comfortable. I spent many pleasant afternoons lounging by their pool, enjoying Evita's cooking, Andreas's grilling and both of their conversation.

They made me feel at home and were the most welcoming people on the island.

The cost is very affordable, and the location is perfect. Close to the city (via the regular bus schedule) and an easy 3 minute walk to the beach....there is no other experience compared with swimming in the Mediterranean at night in the moonlight!

If I ever went back to Crete their hotel would be the ONLY choice for me. Hmm, maybe I'll quit my teaching job and become their bartender.

We had a wonderful time for the 15 days that we stayed at Lefka apartments, 1 year ago. If everything is going well, will be come together with our friends the summer of 2005. Our kids enjoyed the swimming pool (if you remember) and they want to visit again your place. As during the 2004 we don't have summer vacation (Olympic Games) they expecting the summer of 2005. Well what can we say, a brilliant holiday, in June 2004 with charming hosts. Evita is eager to please and never fails, her mum's cooking is ace!!! Andreas.....well he's just a nice bloke and a good host!!

Accommodation exceptionally clean, lovely pool area and Andreas, cooking not bad either!!!!

Don't go when Greece are in a major football tournament!!!

We will be coming back!!!!

We stayed at Lefka for a week over the summer of 2004. I can't recommend Lefka highly enough. The rooms are reasonably priced, clean and has everything you would need (including alarm clocks and a complementary bottle of wine!).

Evita and Andreas make your stay unforgettable. They are extremely helpful and gave us excellent advice on exploring Crete including hiring a car at a very competitive price.

The pool area is well maintained with a beautiful garden and has a small bar and restaurant which is open in the evening and perfect if you just want to take it easy rather than heading into Chania for dinner.

I would definitely stay at Lefka again.

We were honored to spend a wonderful 12 day break at Lefka and what could one say about both of you your hospitality your excellent way of making us feeling home?

Just two words: absolutely marvelous guys and please keep going the way you are as it makes things different and makes more and more friends to you.

We are already making our minds and thinking of visiting you again, since we did have a lot of fun and a pleasant stay there.

A couple of interesting hints to the visitors of this guest book is the pretty short distance from Chania center and the beautiful sandy beaches of Ag. Marina, Platanias etc., the wonderful accommodations, the pool with the bar and above all, allow me, the delicious local Cretan recipes Evita and Andreas are cooking. Whenever you go Crete, go for "ntakos", "Staka with eggs" etc. You'll be addicted.

We had a wonderful three weeks touring the Greek Islands, and our stay at Lefka Studios will always be fondly remembered. We enjoyed the pool in the mornings before our daily excursions into the Crete countryside. Andreas was very helpful in suggesting sights, etc. At night the poolside taverna/restaurant was a very nice place to enjoy a drink or meal, while meeting other travellers. The studios had everything needed and the bottle of wine that greeted us was a very nice touch.

When I told my brother this morning that I was going to write a guest book entry he said: "Let us go again at Christmas". I can not say it any better, we enjoyed our stay, and hope to be back again someday.

If you are thinking of having blissful week in a place where the sun shines, the people are unbelievably friendly, food is delicious and the wine flows, then Lefka is the place for you.

The studios are very clean and have everything you need. The swimming pool and a beautiful garden with a lot of flowers are magnificent.

Spending my summer on Crete was fantastic! Having Evita and Andreas as my hosts in such a clean, friendly and delightful hotel, was definitely the highlight!!

But one thing: it is not just Nancy's photo which makes Andreas look a little bigger than slim, he seems to look the same in my photos.... As for Evita it is not the photo that makes her look gorgeous; she is!

I had the best time at Lefka, it was the ideal location to stay in - close to the beach, easy to reach the town and yet with enough on site to remove the need to leave! All of the staff were wonderful (thanks Natasha and Dimitra) and more than thanks to Andreas and Evita!

I do not hesitate to recommend this venue and WILL definitely be back!

Crete is a wonderful island and Lefka is the perfect place to stay.

From the moment I arrived until the morning I left, the friendliness of Evita, Andreas and their staff was unsurpassed.

The accommodation was very spacious (something that is seldom available to a lone traveller) and with thoughful touches such as toiletries, hairdryer, coffee machine and alarm clock that are seldom available in Greek accommodation. The pool area and gardens were very clean and well kept and even tho' I visited at the end of the season they still looked fresh.

The location couldn't be more convenient with a bus stop immediately outside that allows you to visit the wonderful town of Chania and with miles of unspoilt, blue flag beaches within a very short stroll. Added to all of this the food was delicious!!

Evita and Andreas you deserve success for you endless hard work.

Found Lefka Apartments by chance when looking on the Internet for an apartment around Hania for a week at the end September 2004. Looked good on the Internet and in reality was even better.

Evita and Andreas made us very welcome and could not do more to make our stay an exceptional holday.

We had a very nice holiday at Crete last summer. Your hotel is very nice and we were not disappointed with anything. It was the opposite way,we were positively surprised.

The room; very big and clean. The pool-area terrific! The bar and the food excellent. You had been very helpful with most things (moped-renting, maps, any stupid question we had).

We will certainly be back.

We were at Lefka studios apartments on holidays with my husband and our two children and during one week we really enjoyed this beautiful place. Outside, the owners welcome you with a drink near the swimming pool where both children and adults can swim. Inside, you can have a room for adults with air condition and one place for the children. Besides, the manager can advise about beautiful places to visit in the area and speaks English too.

The place is always kept clean, there's a parking space for your rental car...and the room is affordable compared to other places in Crete.

We had there a very good moment and the children tell the same.

I cannot recomment too highly the wonderful time we had staying at the Lefka apartments in Chania. The three of us -- all ladies in our retirement years -- are active people who enjoy seeing the sights in an area, exploring the coutryside and meeting the people. An active vacation is our goal.

Andreas and Evita enabled us to enjoy our visit to Crete in all these respects, and, if I were able, would return there tomorrow. We were greeted by Andreas who genially told us to let him know if there was anything he could do to help us get settled. He is so kind. The next morning we met Evita, our hostess. She took time to tell us about the activities available and we chose to have her book the Samaria Gorge trip the following day.

Meantime we enjoyed having a supermarket aross the street where we were able to stock our refrigerator and the next morning we enjoyed breakfast on our balcony overlooking the beautiful pool and gardens. Of course we swam in the pool, walked into Chania, enjoyed visiting with our hosts and their other guests at the pool bar and enjoyed Andreas' excellent cooking --delicious fish filets -- but there are many more choices on their menu.

We stayed over a week at Lefka and wished we could have stayed longer. The apartments were clean, spacious and adequate. We were so forunate to be away from town and able to self-cater with so much ease. There are local markets for fruits and vegetables--just ask Evita for the directions.

You will enjoy a lovely holiday if you stay at Lefka. We did!

Hello Everyone!

We would like to let you know what a wonderful time we had staying at the Lefka Apartments.

From the very first day, Evita and Andreas were welcoming, friendly and always helpful. The children spent hours in the swimming pool which was great (non swimmers will need arm bands as its quite deep at one end, although the children's section is very safe). We loved chatting with Evita, Andreas and other guests at the pool bar each evening and had lots of laughs (as well as great wine, beer and their own version of Raki!!).

The apartments are kept very clean and are a good standard for those used to staying in Greece! As lovers of red wine, the welcoming bottle of red wine went down a treat and was very good. The children were spoilt on the huge chocolate icecreams (even though more healthy food was available).

The location is very close to Chania centre. We would catch a bus outside the apartments most evenings for only about 50p each, and it takes about 10 minutes. A taxi ride back (if you're too late to catch the last bus at 11pm costs 5 Euros max.) Chania old town and harbour is lovely, great for shopping, restaurants and just strolling through the old streets admiring the venetian style buildings.

The only thing I would say about the Lefka Apartments is that there is some road noise, although you cannot see the road for the lovely flowering bushes surrounding the apartments, pool and garden. Once you are taken in by the friendly atmosphere at Lefka, you won't even notice it.

We shall certainly go back to Lefka to stay with Evita and Andreas as they made our stay so enjoyable and relaxing. Hope you enjoy it too!!

We had the immense pleausure to stay at Lefka for 18 days. It was the most wonderfull vacation we had. It was the third time we were in Crete but thanks to the tips Andreas gave us, we saw amazing things. Evita and also Andreas are the most friendly and kind people one can meet in Crete. Lefka is really a small paradise, as well for children as for adults (lovely bar, ...). We can recommend this place to every one who wants to have a great holiday.

We stayed at Lefka for three weeks in June 2005. We were a group of seven people, four adults and three children. We loved staying at Lefka from the second we arrived, and saw the 12 years old Metaxa, until the minute we went home.

In our heart we΄re still at Lefka thinking about the RAKI, Ursus(can΄t be bought in Iceland), swimming pool, chocolate cake (wedding anniversary), the friendly atmosphere and of course both Evita and Andreas. They were both very helpful about everything regarding our holiday and we found that they cared about their guests.

We stayed in Lefka Apartments in July 2005, on a trip from Germany. We'd read the great reviews on TripAdvisor.com and the apartments website, so we shouldn't have been surprised at how fantastic Andreas and Evita are...but we were.

The apartment itself was good - clean, roomy, with everything we needed. Cleaned almost every day, with new towels and anything else we needed. The pool was great - it was never full, and there was always room to lay in the sun and catch the rays until about 6-7pm. We had many meals in the cafe by the pool - yogurt and honey to start the day, Greek salads for lunch and dinner....so good!

Andreas and Evita were unbelievably helpful - every day they'd give us advice on where to go, what to see, etc. From beaches and towns, to restaurants and shops, they'd tell us what to avoid, and what to look out for. Our vacation wouldn't have been as good as it was without their help. I can't say enough good things about them and Lefka Apartments - I wish we'd stayed for 2 weeks instead of 1, and I hope I can get back to Crete one day to stay with them again.

The best place we have stayed during our visit to Greece. We really loved Lefka apartments.

The hosts are really the great differential. Evita and Andreas really know how to make you feel at home. The apartments are comfortable and clean, the pool is excellent and the nice gardens make it the ideal place to relax and enjoy your time after a day out.

We have just returned from a fantastic two weeks holiday at Lefka. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. Andreas and Evita are wonderful hosts, they always have time to answer your questions about Crete and Hania or just sit and chat over a drink. Nothing is too much trouble.

By the end of our stay we regarded them as friends and were quite sad to leave.

The apartments are roomy and comfortable, the pool area and garden is a great place to relax after going out for the day, or even hang around all day if you're tired, the bar is always well stocked with cold Mythos and the kids loved the chocolate & strawberry milkshakes!

Andreas and Evita are a great source of information on where to eat out, we had some wonderful meals although you don't have to venture out to get great food, we can thoroughly recommend Andreas' grilled swordfish and pork chops.

All in all, a great place to stay to explore the many wonderful places around Hania. Don't miss the beaches at Falasarna and Elafonisi, Golden Wheel car hire just up the road gave us a good price on a jeep.

Thanks Andreas, Evita and all the staff at Lefka for a great holiday experience, we'll be back!

We have been to Lefka three times now and every visit gets better. The lovely pool is surrounded by a hedge of flowers, Evita and Andreas are the nicest people in the world and we have only just discovered the almost empty beach down a little lane opposite.

It's so clean - that's a big factor.

The apartments are so well positioned and easy to get into Chania and all the beautiful beaches along the west coast.

We are looking forward to our fourth visit next Spring.

We have just enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing holiday in the delightful Lefka apartments, where the hospitality couldn't be bettered! We were particularly struck by the friendliness of the staff, but especially Evita and Andreas. They were there for a good chat when we wanted it (their English is excellent), but left us alone to do our own thing when we needed to. Having booked fairly late,and on the Internet we weren't quite sure what to expect,despite the really good web site (well done, Andreas!!), but the apartments and atmosphere far exceeded our expectations.

We've just come back from two weeks at Lefka Studios and can only echo what others have said about the friendliness and helpfulness of both Evita and Andreas. However, there are a few points that we'd like to add to that:

• We were amazed at how far everyone at Lefka apartments put themselves out to make our holiday a success.

• But at the same time we were allowed to get on with our holiday and weren't intruded upon.

• The apartments are very well-placed for getting buses into the centre of Chania and to more far-flung beaches, e.g. Paleohora, Elafonissi, Falasarna.

We'd like to return at some point in the future, and wish Evita and Andreas every success with running Lefka apartments - they certainly deserve it!

My friend Margaret and I would not hesitate to recommend Lefka apartments to anyone, though part of us thinks they should remain a well kept secret.

We had a lovely holiday with the friendliest hosts we have ever met and truly felt treated as part of the family. The apartments are kept exceptionally clean, the pool and gardens are a credit to Andreas and his cooking is great too. Evita is lovely and goes out of her way to make everyone feel special. We have been to several of the Greek Islands, but this was our first visit to Crete, and our first trip organised completely by ourselves. Pure luck (or was it fate?) guided us to your website, when we searched for an apartment near Chania.

You really made our autumn vacation (two last weeks in September 2005) something to remember. The apartment was very comfortable, the swimming pool and the pool area was really enjoyable, but the superb surprise was the pool bar with delicious food and a very warm and personal service.

Be careful with the raki, most of the time it is very strong, and please be careful if the grill-chef wants to shake hands with you, you may be in for a "black" surprice!

We stayed at the Lefka Apartments in lovely Chania for 2 weeks in October 2005.

We can only report that we had a wonderful time there and made all the more memorable by the very friendly and helpful management.

Our (studio) apartment was very clean and had all necessary facilities for self-catering but we suggest that prospective guests also avail themselves of the nice dishes prepeared and served by Evita and Andreas. Also ask their advice as to the better local restaurants - the advice we followed always worked out perfectly.

The apartments are close to Chania and its historic old quarters. Well served by local buses and/or short taxi ride. For self-caterers there is a large supermarket only 100 metres away. The beach is just 5 minutes walking distance.

We were quite reluctant to leave after our relaxing time in Chania.

In the beginning of October 2005 we took a two weeks vacation in Crete. It was our second trip to this Greek Island. Without any doubt we made a decision to stay at Lefka Apartments with Evita and Andreas.

Two years ago we were traveling in Crete and have stayed for a few days at this place. Those were never-to-be forgotten days. This time we came back to see our good friends. Thanks to their hospitality and hearty welcome you always feel yourself among friends.

Lefka Apartments are very well situated. The beaches are within 5-minute walk; the center of Chania is a 10-minute drive by car or by bus (bus stop is within 50 m). Across the street there are a very big supermarket and a new big fashion shop where you can bay everything you need.

The apartments are reasonable priced. They are very clean and have all needed equipment to feel as thought you are at home. The swimming pool is very nice and there are a lot of swimming toys for children.

The flowers… They are everywhere: around the swimming pool, along the paths in the garden, near the entrances, outside and inside the apartments, they decorate the walls, balconies, they trail from the roof… And that was in October. You can imagine how it looks in spring.

Especially warm reminiscences are about the evenings we have spent in their small family-ran restaurant, where we enjoyed very delicious home-cooked dishes. (Oh, those not forgettable tastes of swim red peppers with garlic cooked by Andreas!!!).

Words fail me if I try to describe Evita and Andreas hospitality, good nature and their desire to help you in any situation. I am sure if you spend sometime at that cozy place you will wish to come back there again.

My wife and I stayed at this location for 2-3 days in mid July, 2005 and it was very relaxing.

The location was very close to a Supermarket (2 min walk) that allowed us to buy basics and just walk down to the beach (7-10 min quiet walk).

The beach nearby is very peaceful and not too crowded so this works out great.

Evita and Andreas recommended some great restaurants by the Venetian Port area that were fantastic. Best Greek food (vegetarian options!) I ate throughout my trip in Greece.

I would recommend this place to my friends as a great location to stay when visiting Chania.

First we want to wish you a very happy new year 2006!

We (me, my 13 year old son and his 15 year old friend) stayed in your hotel in June -05 in the beginning and end of our 3 week trip to Crete. I found your hotel on the Internet and chose it because of the good location and reasonable prices.

We arrived late in the evening. The flight was one hour late but there he was, Andreas waiting for us and greeting us welcome. Evita was just as nice she always is. The boys jumped straight into the pool after a hard day`s traveling. We didn't stay so many days because we wanted to see "all of Crete".

Evita and Andreas were always so friendly and helpful. They could tell us about many places worth a visit - and places not worth that. Andreas΄ recommendation of Paleohora for the boys was just right, they loved bicycling around that small quiet town.

Evita made sure I learned to make Greek coffee in the right manner and she even gave me a bag of coffee and a small coffee can of my own for the rest of our trip!

I can really warmly recommend this nice and friendly hotel.

Evita and Andreas, I hope we΄ll see you again this year, maybe in April!

We spent our second visit to Evita and Andreas at a time we both needed to relax and spend time with good hosts, and good friends. And they are both. We have many good memories of that week September 2005 and we enjoyed every single day.

The highlights? Very difficult to choose. A wonderful trip into the mountains with Evita and Andreas for a fantastic meal on a lazy Saturday afternoon, listening to Pink Floyd on Andreas' laptop over a few beers (don't worry everyone else was out!), and if you are into music ask him to play his collection of number one's from the sixties onwards on his laptop.

No need to say anything about the facilities, the spotless accomodation, the atmosphere, and the friendly hosts. Everything is perfect. If you haven't been before, do yourself a favour and go now. If you have, you will be going back again - as will we (Sorry Andreas!).

We only got home yesterday but felt we had to write our comments straight away.

We arrived at Lefka apartments with our two children aged 9 and 13 having travelled Easyjet from Gatwick and via the overnight ferry from Athens to Souda Bay.

We were greeted by Evita who was absolutely wonderful and shown to a superb one bedroom apartment. The apartment was spacious and clean and well stocked with plates, cutlery, microwave etc.

Evita was absolutely charming and was always appearing with bus timetables, guide books, biscuits etc. She was a fountain of knowledge on Crete. Our two daughters loved Evita - she is a very special young lady.

Andreas's food was second to none - small portions do not exist in his kitchen! Potato salad, swordfish, chicken, pork etc. are truly excellent and there is not a word to describe the wonderful oranges picked fresh from the trees.

We cannot write enough words to say what a truly enjoyable two week stay we had at the Lefka apartments and the hospitality shown by Evita, Andreas and Arkhtuna. The apartments are a credit to them.

We wish them all the best for the 2006 season and only wish we could visit them again this year - perhaps next year?

We spent a wonderful week at the Lefka studios last summer 2005. Nothing was too much trouble for Evita and Andreas and the apartments were very clean with fresh towels/linen supplied daily.

What was so special about our stay was all the help and time given by Andreas especially when he found us hopelessly lost in town trying to find our pre booked hired car. Also all the kindness given by Evita (not mention the gifts of fruit and cakes).

They are a wonderful couple and treated us as if we were old friends.

We spent a wonderful week in May 2006 at Lefka after a weeks walking in The White Mountains.

Andreas and Evita's hospitality was unbelievable. They are so kind and nothing was too much trouble. Lots of help and information about where to go, how to get there, where to eat etc but their food is excellant as well. I recommend the swordfish in particular.

Our studio was spotlessly clean,very well equipped and the bed linen and towels changed every other day.

Lefka is only minutes from the beach along which you can easily walk into Chania if you wish. The bus service is excellant and very cheap and taxis only cost 5 €.

We have never had such superb treatment anywhere before and will certainly stay there again if we return to Chania.

The apartment was clean, well stocked and spacious enough for the four of us (two adults, an energetic three year old, and a loud 7 month old). The facilities were great - fantastic pool, lovely bar (great frappes/milkshakes - thanks Hatuna!) and a welcomed daily maid service.

We hope to return soon!

We have just returned home after staying 1 week at Lefka Apartments. We had a wonderful holiday; Evita and Andreas were a truly wonderful couple, very kind and thoughtful (they even bought Mike a cake for his birthday with candles also).

When we arrived there was a bottle of wine in our apartment which we really enjoyed. When leaving they gave us a bottle of olive oil and sweet wine which I am sure we will enjoy.

Andreas we have tried the oil like you said and yes we like it.

All our best wishes to Evita and Andreas for the forthcoming birth of their new son (we await pictures).

We have just returned from our stay at Lefka. This was our first time to Chania and we were made very welcome. Both Evita and Andreas were extremely helpful along with Hatuna.

The apartments are perfect, very clean and well equipped; all you need to get you going on a perfect holiday.

We arrived home just two days ago after spending three weeks in Crete of which absolutely fantastic two weeks in Lefka.

Our sons Samu and Topi enjoyd themselves by swimming, playing, taking care of the kittens and chasing (especially Samu) Andreas with a water pistol. The atmosphere in Lefka is very unique thanks to Evita and Andreas and also all the nice and friendly guests.

Topi sends special hugs and kisses to Hatuna ("friends forever") and to the kittens. Samu reminds of Andreas not to shoot the kittens with water pistol - it΄s allowed only against the straycats ;)

Oh, the food must be mentioned: lovely salads, and gorgeus grill food.. and the bread and potatoe salad which we couldn΄t resist (though we usually don΄t eat potatoes and bread).

Thank you for everything, we certainly will stay in Lefka when ever we return to Crete. And we also are waiting to hear about the baby when the time comes.. until then, Evita, take care of yourself and remember to rest and relax when ever you can!

Had a great time at the Lefka apartments in June. What made the holiday so memorable were the hosts, Andreas and Evita. On arrival we were invited to the bar for a drink and were made to feel very welcome. Andreas and Evita gave us loads of information about places to visit / eat, booked us taxis, fed us Cretian specialities (and huge portions of chocolate cake!) and generally went all out to ensure we had a good time.

We spent our days relaxing by the pool and walking into Chania town, (a 30-40 min walk) with its picturesque harbour, museums restaurants, bars and shops. (For lazier days, the bus-stop is directly outside the Lefka apartments and regular buses take 5 minutes to get into town!). One of the highlights was walking through the stunning Samaria Gorge, and the next day using the lovely pool to recuperate!

Can´t wait to go back.

Just returned from ab-fab stay at the Lefka Appartments! (Just in time, before all the high security drama!)

What a welcome! Nothing was too much trouble, and it was like staying with a very large family! In spite of being situated near the road, we heard no noise at all. The apartment was kept extremely clean, and the clean linen (every other day) had a really lovely perfume, don't know what fabric conditioner they use but it's great!

The pool was perfect for the children, and Patrick progressed from being a plodder-swimmer into a budding Mark Spitz!

We will definitely recommend it to our friends (or will we...it could be too good to share!) and hope to return soon, and this time we won't take the appartment key home with us - sorry, Andreas!

Wow! What a fantastic experience! Before we even arrived, Evita sent us much needed information about Chania.

How nice to be greeted with a bottle of wine in our room!The rooms were exceptionally clean and well stocked. All staff were so helpful, kind and engaging.

The food was excellent! Thank you Andreas for coming in early to cook swordfish for the girls! I'll have you know that I now prepare a mean Greek salad using oil, olives and cheese imported from Crete!

We felt as though we belonged at Lefka. We made good friends and it was difficult to leave. Look out Andreas, we will return! We are recommending your apartments to everyone we see!!! Just remember to keep space for us when we return.

Evita, I am amazed at how you managed to keep working the way you did. We wish you all the best with the birth of your baby! You are both fantastic and run your establishment very professionally while at the same time making everyone feel as though they are part of the family.

We stayed with Evita and Andreas at Lefka Appartments this summer and were given a fantastic welcome - certainly the most hospitable hosts we have stayed with after many years travelling overseas. Nothing was too much trouble - all of the facilities were excellent and the atmosphere always relaxing.

We had a fabulous 2 weeks in Lefka Apartments. The apartments are large and roomy with modern kitchen with cooker, kettle, toaster and microwave. The rooms are cleaned and the bins emptied every day. Beds and towels are changed every two days (almost unheard of in Greece).

There is a lovely swimming pool and plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, the gardens are full of the most beautiful and colourful flowers and plants, and are a pleasure to walk around. The bus to Chania Town stops outside the apartments and takes just a few minutes.

Last but by no means least, our hosts, Evita & Andreas, their hospitallity was wonderful and nothing at all too much trouble.

We would certainly recommend Lefka Apartments to anyone who loves Crete and we will definitely be going back.

My first trip to Crete was made memorable by the warm welcome I received from Evita and Andreas, Janis and Khartuna. Even though I was on my own, I never felt lonely due to their hospitality and the terrific guests attracted to their beautiful oasis on the edge of Chania.

It is so easy to access all that Chania has to offer and they were most helpful in helping me rent a car and in suggesting where to eat, shop, or to swim. Their knowledge of Greek history, language and culture was a bonus. The studio was clean, comfy, and well equipped and I enjoyed eating my breakfast on my balcony.

Even the cats in the garden made me feel at home.

Avons attrapé le "virus" de la Grèce mais alors là, le couple Evita & Andreas, gagnent vraiment à être connu. Serviable, convivial, dévoué toujours prêt à rendre service. Andrea nous a emmené chez l'ORL avec sa voiture, a servi de traducteur auprès du médecin qui a fait une petite chirurgie à notre fils.

Well, where do we start?

Our holiday at Lefka was simply FABULOUS! It was probably the most relaxing holiday we have had for years. You both made it so easy for us, told us where the best tavernas were in the centre of Chania (although we will never forget the delicious home-cooked food we ate at your bar!!), what beaches were best, you even helped us get the best car rental deal.

The apartment was spacious and very clean with the daily cleaning service.

Thank you Evita, Andreas, Hartouna and Yanis for making our week in Chania so special, we hope to come back with our parents next time!!

We were a little afraid of noice from the road, but that was no problem.

The service from Evita and Andreas and the others at Lefka was exellent, and the rooms as well as the garden and swimming pool were also very good.

The pool bar was also excellent, with good food and beer, and we loved to sit there in the evenings.

We tried hard to find food in Chania that was a good as yours but failed every time - even your recommendations were not as good as your own bar food! We so enjoyed the evenings around the bar - lovely friendly atmosphere ... a real home from home.

You have something unique here and we have never found it anywhere else. We will be visiting again one year (and we don't normally re visit places, even if they have been good). I managed to get my shrivelly cretan olive back home safely but Andreas I've no Greek salad to put them with! And our tomatoes are so tasteless in the UK !

As promised, we returned (last here 2006). Our arrival was like we had never been away. Again, with our two children now aged 11 and 15 having travelled Easyjet from Gatwick and via the overnight ferry from Athens to Souda Bay.

Shown to a superb one bedroom apartment we stayed in before and as always, the apartment was spacious and clean and well stocked with plates, cutlery, microwave etc.

So lovely to see Evita (late stages of pregnancy but still as bubbly) and Andreas who cooks just as good if not better. Our two daughters still love Evita, Andreas and Arkhtuna (and the cats).

Andreas's food just perfect as before, Potato salad, swordfish, chicken, pork etc. all just scrummy

Again, not enough words to say what a truly enjoyable two week stay we had at the Lefka apartments and the hospitality shown by Evita, Andreas and Arkhtuna.

So nice to meet fellow holidaymakers of all nationalities all having such a great relaxed time.

Let this be a warning - we will be back!!!

Recently returned after a wonderful week at Lefka ...everything was first class. The apartments are set in beautiful well tended gardens full of colour. They are situated back from the road and are very private. The road was not an issue at all even though we were in a studio at the front overlooking the pool which was really lovely. Studio was a good size and had everything we needed and was cleaned every day.

Andreas and Evita together with all the staff were great and did all they could to make our time with them memorable. Their position on the outskirts of Chania is great for access to the main national road for touring (10 mins) and to the town itself which again is only 10 mins by bus or by car. Supermarket just over the road for essentials but we didn't cook at all...Andreas's food was excellent and not expensive. The nearest beach is only minutes by car and maybe a 10 minute walk and is really great...very clean with plenty sunloungers and a small snack bar.

We would definitely recommend Lefka Apartments and intend to stay there again on our next visit to Crete.

Am petrecut 10 zile minunate in Chania in august 2007. Familia mea a fost cazata in unul din apartamentele de la etaj cu privirea la piscina. Dimineata la cafea privelistea din balcon era superba. Gazdele, Andreas si sotia sa Evita au fost foarte amabili si ne-au oferit multe sfaturi utile. Conditiile de cazare au fost foarte bune.

Am ajuns in Chania cu feribotul din Pireu( 6 ore). A meritat sa mergem cu masina pentru ca am vizitat foarte multe locuri foarte comod.

Thank you for providing us with such a friendly and relaxing environment for our first holiday abroad with Louie (18months). We can't thank you enough for the attention you all paid to him and the toys you provided. He may need to be surgically detached from the diggers we brought home!

My family and I stayed at Lefka in 2007 & 2008 and despite leaving a review on Trip Advisor, when stopping by to look at the new style website (nice work Andreas!) realised I'd never posted on the guest book.

Basically, we had the best two family holidays in 15 years of travelling and that was soley due to the welcome of Andreas and Evita, and also the excellent standard of accomodation and facilities. If it wasn't for the credit crunch we'd be heading back for a third straight year, but will definitely be back at some point in the not too distant future.

Andreas - it's not going to be the same this summer not sharing a Mythos (or four!) with you, but keep my stool at the bar warm, as we hope to be back soon.

If anyone reading this wants a holiday where you can relax, laugh, make friends and experience quite unique hospitality, then just book and enjoy the Lefka experience. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Oh, and the food is excellent too!

Back from our second visit at Lefka Apartments. We stayed for a whole month. There is no such word to describe the warmth and hospitality from the hosts and the staff.

Our stay was most enjoyable, we never thought it could surpass our first visit at Lefka. But it did.

Thank you again Evita, Andreas, Khatouna, Lily and the rest of the staff for making this a most joyful and wonderful vacation.

We had a pleasant first stay, room was cleaned and ready when we arrived earlier than agreed (boat arrives either very early or very late) to Creete.

During our stay Andreas, Evita and their crew were always helpfull and gave many good advices how to get around and what to see on Crete.

The noise from the "highway" is not disturbing, that is part of the Greek holidays. The big Carrefour next door is handy.
